Parivartan Foundation, headquartered in Mumbai, is a decade-strong social impact organisation led by doctors, social workers, and development professionals. We work to advance education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, disability inclusion, environmental sustainability, and tribal welfare- all aligned with key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Vision: To build an equitable and compassionate India where every individual has access to opportunity, dignity, and a healthy, empowered life.
Mission: To deliver scalable, sustainable solutions that uplift underserved communities, reduce inequalities, and strengthen systems through advocacy, capacity-building, and compassionate action.
Our Goals by 2030:

Parivartan Foundation organised the landmark Metta International Theatre Festival, a majestic celebration of peace, friendship, and global cultural harmony through the medium of performing arts. Inspired by Metta — the Pali word symbolising unconditional loving-kindness and compassion for all beings — the festival served as a cultural bridge uniting diverse nations, traditions, and voices for a shared message of humanity.
The festival was inaugurated by distinguished dignitaries including Shri Rajkumar Badole, Cabinet Minister for Social Justice, Dr. Jabbar Patel, celebrated filmmaker and seven-time National Award winner, the Registrar of Mumbai University, along with eminent Marathi actors Siddharth Jadhav, Rohini Hattangadi, and Mangesh Bansode. Distinguished guests included Consul General of Sri Lanka, Smt. Sarija Sirisena, and Editor-in-Chief of Punya Nagari, Smt Rahi Bhide, adding to the dignity and cultural significance of the event. Supported by the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of Delhi, in collaboration with VOICE Delhi and the Academy of Theatre Arts, University of Mumbai, the event marked a historic cultural milestone.
International theatre troupes, musicians, and cultural ambassadors from Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Mozambique, Armenia, Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, and Nepal performed at the festival, presenting powerful narratives rooted in the universal values of equality, liberty, fraternity, and justice. Their performances touched hearts, transcended borders, and echoed the timeless teachings of peace from the sacred land of Buddha to the world.

Parivartan Foundation proudly organised the Sanvidhan Daud – Run for the Constitution, a historic public movement celebrating the core values of Equality, Liberty, Fraternity, and Justice. The event was supported and co-organised by the Ministry of Social Justice & Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, marking a powerful collaborative effort to strengthen constitutional awareness among citizens.
Flagged off from Worli to Dadar, the run was inaugurated by Hon. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Hon. Minister for Social Justice Rajkumar Badole, Hon. Union Minister for Social Justice Shri Ramdas Athawale, and Consul General of Sri Lanka Smt. Saroja Sirisena, alongside legendary hockey icon Shri Dhanraj Pillay and senior bureaucrats of Maharashtra.
With the spirited participation of over 25,000 citizens, Sanvidhan Daud became one of Maharashtra’s largest constitutional awareness events. As a symbol of civic pride, 25,000+ copies of the Indian Constitution were distributed to all participants, reaffirming our collective duty to protect and uphold the guiding principles envisioned by the framers of our Republic.
Sanvidhan Daud stands as a testament to the power of community, governance, and shared values in strengthening India’s democratic fabric.

Parivartan Foundation successfully led the Mumbai to Kolhapur – Save the Girl Child Campaign, a powerful social movement dedicated to promoting girl child protection, dignity, and empowerment. The initiative was launched on International Women’s Day with an inspiring all-women band performance, symbolizing strength, unity, and the voice of women rising together. The inauguration also featured a live painting session by a renowned artist, capturing the essence of women’s empowerment through art and expression.
The campaign received overwhelming public support and saw active participation from changemakers and influencers, including celebrated entrepreneur and philanthropist Ms. Zeba Kohli. This journey served as a call to society to nurture, support, and celebrate every girl child, reinforcing our mission to build an equitable and compassionate world for all daughters of India.

Parivartan Foundation runs TrainHer Ascent, a dedicated skills and livelihood development program empowering young girls from the slum communities of Mumbai. Through this initiative, we provide high-quality, industry-relevant training completely free of cost, equipping girls with technical, professional, and life skills essential for success in today’s workforce.
The program focuses on building confidence, employability, and economic independence. We are proud that many of our trained beneficiaries have secured dignified employment in leading multinational companies (MNCs), opening new pathways for themselves and inspiring their communities. TrainHer Ascent stands as a testament to our commitment to fostering equal opportunity, dignity, and financial empowerment for every girl, enabling them not just to dream—but to rise.

Parivartan Foundation, in partnership with NACDOR and GAIN, organised a State-Level Consultation on Malnutrition at Mumbai University, bringing together representatives from 57+ organisations, grassroots leaders, and nutrition experts. The consultation focused on addressing malnutrition among Dalit and Adivasi communities and strengthening accountability in key schemes such as ICDS, Mid-Day Meal, and PDS.
During the event, the Maharashtra Nutrition Report Card and State Nutrition Report were released, highlighting serious nutrition gaps in vulnerable communities. The programme concluded with the launch of the Maharashtra Poshan Adhikar Abhiyan, a collaborative action platform committed to awareness campaigns, social audits, and community-led advocacy to achieve a malnutrition-free Maharashtra.

Empowering People with Disabilities Through Skills & Dignified Employment
Parivartan Foundation is committed to building an inclusive society by empowering People with Disabilities (PwDs/Divyangjan) through skill development and meaningful employment. Our flagship initiative, PANKH – Wings of Destiny, provides completely free, residential training to PwDs and supports them in securing dignified jobs, enabling them to live with self-respect, independence, and confidence.

Parivartan Dhaga is an initiative to empower underprivileged women and transgender individuals through free tailoring and garment-making training. The program provides sewing machines, training support, and mentorship to help participants become self-reliant and start income-generating work or micro-units. With skill-building, entrepreneurship exposure, and market linkage support, Parivartan Dhaga aims to create sustainable livelihoods and dignity. Our goal is to train and empower 1 lakh beneficiaries by 2030 and build a future where every skilled hand leads to a prosperous home.

Project Samarth is Parivartan Foundation’s flagship initiative aimed at combating malnutrition and anemia among women, adolescent girls, and children in rural and aspirational districts of Maharashtra. Through a holistic, community-based approach, the program integrates nutrition awareness, health screenings, behavior change education, supplementation support, kitchen-garden promotion, and community mobilization.
The project works closely with Anganwadis, schools, community leaders, and government departments to strengthen existing public health efforts while empowering mothers and caregivers with practical nutritional knowledge.
By fostering nutrition literacy, early identification of high-risk cases, and sustainable food security practices, Project Samarth is helping build a healthier and more resilient generation. Our mission is simple yet transformative — ensure every child and woman receives the nutrition they deserve to thrive.

Parivartan Foundation led a powerful Save the Girl Child campaign to fight female foeticide and promote gender equality across Maharashtra. Beginning in Mumbai and culminating in Nagpur, the campaign united citizens, students, and community leaders to champion the rights and dignity of girls. We actively reached out to gynecologists, radiologists, and maternity homes, creating deep awareness on the ethical responsibility to protect every girl child. Many doctors pledged to become ambassadors of the cause, spreading the message further within the medical community.
A troupe of 30+ renowned Marathi stage artists travelled with us, performing an emotionally charged skit en route; their compelling script and performances moved audiences to tears and created deep social awakening. With strong community mobilization, support from civil society, and the unwavering partnership of LIC, we gathered 11 lakh signatures demanding an end to female foeticide.
With tremendous support from local communities, organisations, and civil society, we collected 11 lakh signatures and built a statewide movement insisting that every girl must be welcomed, protected, educated, and empowered.

Parivartan Foundation, with generous support from MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange of India), implemented Parivartan Shakti to strengthen menstrual health among tribal schoolgirls. We distributed six-month sanitary pad kits to 300 adolescent girls, ensuring safe and consistent menstrual hygiene.
Nurses from Holy Family Hospital performed an engaging educational skit, creating an interactive and stigma-free space for girls to learn about menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and self-care.
This initiative improved confidence, reduced absenteeism, and helped young girls manage menstruation with dignity and awareness. Parivartan Shakti continues to advance health, dignity, and equal opportunity for every girl.
