Harsha Vardhan Mandava

President

Harsha has led a cohesive effort to make the impact of Parivartan felt by all its stakeholders. He is a winner of the Goldman Sachs Global Leaders Award and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from BITS Pilani. He has worked with the Chronic Poverty Research Centre project at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. He believes in empowerment through constructive support and access to opportunities. He is keenly interested in exploring alternate models for delivery of vital services to underserved populations. In addition to being in the Mess Administrative Committee at BITS Pilani, he has led the Photography Club and English Press Club at BITS Pilani as well. A believer in social entrepreneurship, he travels widely and is an ardent photographer.




Deepika Mandava

Head of Outreach

The youngest member of the team, Deepika is double majoring in Economics and Civil Engineering at BITS Pilani. A visionary, it was her dream to help out at the grass root level. A creative genius, she was instrumental in conceptualizing the first Parivartan initiatives and also designed the logo of the organization. She heads the communication and outreach programs. Her effectiveness in community mobilization is a major factor in the on ground success of Parivartan. She is a British Council Global Changemakers fellow and a Starting Bloc (NY, 2011) fellow.




Sridhar Ramineni

Treasurer

Having extensive experience at managing human resource, Sridhar is the troubleshooter for Parivartan Foundation. His technical background and 12 years of corporate experience at companies like Tata and Nokia have made him indispensible to Parivartan Foundation. He is the treasurer for the foundation. Though he is camera shy, he is the public image of Parivartan along with Harsha and Tanvi and always gets the best out of the team. A perfectionist and a smooth talker, he is the man to get things done. When not at work, Sridhar likes to spend quality time with close friends. To the surprise of many, he is both a foodie and fitness enthusiast.




Sumanth P S

Head of Research

Sumanth has worked on rural entrepreneurship extensively. He believes in entrepreneurship as a means to sustainable development and has deeply etched it into the philosophy of Parivartan. He has graduated this year with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani. He has also served as a Vice President at CEL, BITS Pilani which is the Entrepreneurship Cell at BITS Pilani. He led efforts to create sustainable employment in rural Rajasthan by creating self help groups. Apart from work, Sumanth is a well known foodie amongst his peers and his ever increasing count of species tasted is a matter of immense pride for him. His colleagues on the other hand, prefer to keep their pets away from him.




Sonam Samat

Head of Corporate Governance

Sonam graduated with double major in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani. She has had experience in fundraising from individuals, groups and corporates as a part of the Sponsorship and Marketing Department at BITS to run events of national scale. At Parivartan, she ensures compliance with the governance standards and is the sounding board to keep the organization’s tasks on schedule. A Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) fellow and GE Foundation scholar, she was also a core member of the mess committee at BITS. She has interned at the National Council for Applied Economic Research (NCAER), New Delhi. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Public Policy and Management from the Heinz School at Carnegie Mellon University, USA.




Amarnath Mandava

Mandava Amarnath is the owner of Vintage Motors. His excellent understanding of the rural areas and the people has been very helpful in conceptualizing Parivartan Foundation’s projects. His willingness to help and the ability to work hard have inspired the team always. He is based in Hyderabad, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
