What is it?

Due to change in socio-economic situation in our society and many other factors, there are lots of old people, especially widows, who have lost their husband and their children to disease/accidents. At that stage in their life, they cannot be expected to pick up a skill or start earning. They now have no one to take care of them and cannot even afford full meals every day. They live a life of destitution in India's many villages.

How is it run?

Parivartan Foundation carried out an extensive survey of the villages in its current project area. Through this, people in need and living in destitution were indentified. This is a donor linked program where one donor sponsors one needy person for a year through us. We disburse a fixed amount of money every month to the needy old. This amount helps them meet basic requirements in the village.
